do cories get ich?

Sorry for asking such a silly question, but I have treated ich in two different tanks and the cories never had any of the salty specks the other fish developed. Do they not get ich, or is it harder to see on them (I mean, I was really obvious on the other fish...)

All fish can get ich and the cories probably did have ich but just not as advanced a stage as the other fish. That is why when ich is spotted in a tank it is really important to treat all the fish and not just the fish that shows signs.

yup. all the ich needs is a host, it would get to the cories soon or later most likely.

Hmm, the last ich I treated was a "second attack" after I obviously did not kill all the first time around. Treated the first round with malachite green, then started heat/salt for the second round...All fish were absolutely covered in white specks, the fry looked like swimming salt! Even then, the cories stayed clean, which surprised me greatly as they are the closest to the gravel the ich is hiding in!
But this is good to know as I planned to move a cory out of a ten gallon in which I suspect ich. I will leave him/her in till after treating the tank!

Thanks!

Continue that heat/salt treatment for a full week beyond the lack of any visible signs.
