We looked in our tank this morning to find our two clown fish missing! There are no potential predators in the tank. The only questionable neighbor is a tiger pistol shrimp that I am told would dine on the shrimp and crabs before our clowns. It is strange that both would disappear at the same time. We have checked the floor and filter system. The only other place are their shells. They do not have an anemone but have adopted two good size shells as there homes. They have always had their own shell (occasionally the larger clown will try to move into the smaller one's home). When my son saw them last night he said they were together at the mouth of one of the shells. Could they have both gone up into that shell to lay eggs? Would they stay with the eggs for the whole day? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
