Snails in my Cannister

Hi,

I've just noticed today snails in my Eheim 2213.

Couple of questions...

First is, should I be concerned over this?

Second, when I perform my regualr maintenance, flushing through with tank water, should I ensure I get all the snails out?

Third, last couple of weeks I went through a mini-cycle - was this the cause?

I would cause I don't care for the snails. What has changed in your tank recently?

i know the ones that got into my canister slowed down the flow. i put a sponge over the intake to keep the snails out.

Did a clean-up of my XP3 today and found two pond snails (in the filter).

Which is surprising as the JD's in the tank normally get them first!

ive found the occasional snail in the filter... the pond snails are usually small enough that if they get to the impeller, "CRUNCH!" and the filter moves on with life. :
