I now know that i have a lot of changes to make so can someone please give me some pointers on what the best setup for a 15 gallon tank with 3 firebellies would be? pictures would also be great. thanks

You should make the bottom 1/2 of the tank water, and the rest a land portion. For the substrate you can use regular gravel, dont use sand.

thanks,im thinken on the 3/4 water ratio at like 5 inches? so hopefully they'll lay eggs

iv had them for a week now but they havent changed to green yet,anyone know if its possible for them to go for weeks being brown only and then change to green?

were they brown when you bought them? you could have deffinatly got the all brown species, they have both the brown and the green at my local petstores. Dont use gravel or sand, just big river type rocks, but gravel can go under them and under the water!! just none where they eat.
