Do you think egg crate will make conveniant sized food cubes for the fish? I was thiking of just putting some plastic wrap under the egg crate, pouring the food in, and then popping the cubes out and putting them in sandwich bags. I can easily cut blocks off from the huge slab of frozen food, like I do now, but it will be easier with cubes LOL! So will it work? I don't have egg crate at the moment, so I don't know how the squares are.

Thats pure genius (Not being sarcastic)! I could probally fine some mini ice cube trays at wally word or superstore

I wonder if they have them at the $1 stores...?

I have to say no to the icecube tray. I've used them and it is kind of a pain. You have to jack around with the works to try to get out one cube. I actually think that the egg crate is a much better idea and I plan to use it. You can get the new type of saran wrap that "seals" (seen commercials where they are taking a piece, putting in a piece of fish or chicken, folding it over and then pressing around it and it makes a sealed pouch). To do this, take the egg crate when it is dry, take a long piece of the saran wrap and lay it over the eggcrate and press to seal it. Flip it over so this is on the bottom. Then fill up the sections with your stuff and put another piece of wrap on top and seal. Freeze. Then with an exacto knife, lightly cut thru the saran on the egg crate sections, being sure you leave it attached. Do this on both sides, then when you need to feed, just push on the top of the wrap and the frozen cube will pop out the bottom of the egg crate. Just remember to gather the little squares of plastic before adding to your tank.

seems pretty sweet to me!!

I have always used ice trays to store my frozen home food mixtures in, its easy enough to push an ice cube out of a tray, just as though it was an ice cube...its about as easy as it gets...
