I let him go a few weeks ago where I found him, in this enclosure by the window that is near the hose outlet outside. I was using the hose today so I sprayed some in his little area in case he needed some water (haha :) ) and I have not seen him for a few weeks so I was not sure if he was alive or what. But I came back a few minutes later and he had dug out of his little burrow in the gravel. Its supposed to rain all week, dunno how he will like that.
I had him in an aquarium at college because he came out during the winter when I was using the hose and it freaked me out (ice litterally came out of the hose before I used it). He's an adorable little toad though and has excellent motion sensory abilities. Lots of insects in that enclosure for him (the day I put him down there there was a millipede walking around in broad daylight)
Yep.

We haven't forgotten Herbert. Is it a cellar window well that he's in? Toads are quite territorial. If you give him a flowerpot home, he probably won't roam far from it.

That would be an accurate description wetmanNY, its cool he is like a pet but not :) My gf has a "toad house" going to see what that looks like. The flower pot idea is good too, any ideas on how you would have the pot setup?
P.S. thanks for bumping my herbert the toad/axolotyl thread

I went out and checked the "toad house", I see what you mean, Basically I need a flower pot with a little entrance. I would guess they are good because moisture stays in and the terra cotta soaks it up when it rains. Pretty cool looking. I thought I might add a small patch of moss down there where it gets light, I'm not going to alter his area too much if at all since he is doing so good.

Either on its side, or with a little hole cut at the top and then inverting the flower pot so that he has a "door" to his "house".

And I was apparently replying at the same time as you were...looks out of sequence now, doesn't it?
