I just moved last summer with my 20 gallon long tank. I bought a rubbermaid container and put half the tank water into it with my fish and filter inserts and biowheel. I doubled the bottom of the rubbermaid container with another just for strength. I put the gravel, and decor in a seperate smaller container with yet some more of the tank water. I made sure when I moved that my tank was the last thing I packed and tore down. Everything was apart for a few hours during moving and re-setup. I wiped out my tank, set it back up added everything to it and put in the old water and fish. It's been up and running for 1 yr now and I never lost a fish or had any spikes in my water condition after that. Hopefully this will help.
