I bought some lava rock gravel from Lowes and was wondering if I could use it as substrate in my aquarium?Is it safe?

The only concern is what the pH would be on it.
Make sure to rince it completely before doing anything with it.

lava rock/gravel should RAISE the pH, so i would do some testing in a bowl of water with it to see just how much of a rise it's going to give you before you toss it in a tank.

Yes we have a lowes and homedepot were comming up in the world lol they are ripping the only piddly put mall we had down and putting a target in as well
