I was wondering is there any kind of platform i could put in my aquarium that would let me have a raised section in my aquarium that i could put rocks on so the fish could have caves and hides above and below it ?
 
you could make one, other then that petsmart has a fake lookin rock that can be suctioned to the side of the tank.

i would get some suction cups, sometype of plastic form homedepot/lowes, aquarium silent , and rocks and make ur own. Maybe even make a shelf and put gravel and grow a fern in it........good idea for a tall tank, good luck with it if you try.
