Is it possible to breed Fire Shrimp? How would this be done?

If it's possible I'd like to try it because they are expensive and I can make $!

the fire shrimp babies hatch into a larval stage and need to be free floated in a kriesel tank. thier diet is also a bit difficult but a mix of phytoplankton can be dispenesed 24 hours a day at a slow drip with a aqualufter.

Interesting. I read an online article about some guy who was trying to breed them. It looked kind of difficult, he used a friesel as well. if you ever got it to work with decent success rates. you'd make so much money.

the problem is they have a pretty low survival rate because of how small the fry are. if you dont already have a mated pair, they are hermaphrodidic, so it shouldnt be too hard to get one. if you pm me your email, i have a good article saved onto my ocmputer for jsut such occations.

Funny thing is, I've actually thought about this yesterday. Cleaner shrimp are so cool, but their 20 dollar+ price tag prevents me from buying as many as I'd like.

I would assume that a regular phytoplanton could feed the shrimp till they're up to size.

I plan on ordering this one (not for shrimp breeding, just for regular coral feeding): http://www.aquacave.com/detail.aspx?ID=513

And i agree, if you got a good breeding rate, you'd be RICH!!!
