I bought this feather duster on Wedneday, it sure is beautiful!

However, while watching it this morning I noticed it secrete what looked like smoke (you can see it slightly in the first photo). It was still doing it when I left for work. About every 30 seconds a puff of white smoke would come from it's mouth (center of feather).

Does anyone know what this is? Should I be concerned?

Thanks for your help!

I thought it had something to do with spawning/reproduction.

hhmmm.....could be spawning. I don't know that much about Feather Dusters yet. I do have a smaller duster in the tank as well.

Feather Duster babies? :)

It is how they reproduce, they are released into the water and develop in to free swimmers and eventually settle in the tank...
