1 oscar
1 jaguar cichlid
1 silver arowana
1 common pleco
1 tinfoil barb

This is basically my roomates tank. He is a fish "master" if you will... he know so much about fish it is sickening. He has kept tanks since he was like 14 and used to have about 10 tanks in his house at once, half of them saltwater. One was a 300+ gallon tank that had 3 sharks in it to give you an idea. And he is loaded money wise so he can do what he wants.

But what he has in abundance (knowledge and money), he lacks the work ethic to maintain tanks to their fullest. In fact, his poor work ethic is the reason thier is a "was" in front of his 300+ gal tank... filter got clogged but he didn't check on it ever and all his fish (including the sharks) were killed. He is also boring as hell with his fish a lot of times... he used to be creative, now he just buys fish that get big.

This is one of his boring tanks IMO. Just not my style of tank. Tank started off with 5 tinfoil barbs to cycle the tank and act as dithers for the silver arowana that was added later. At the time they were big enough to avoid being eaten. Then he added a shovelnose catfish of some sort, then the jaguar, then much later the oscar. As you can see... the catfish is gone (idk what happened to him honestly) and 4 of the tinfoil barbs have been eaten. Arowana got one of them (it stuck out of his mouth... pretty cool actually), catfish got 2 before he dissapeared, and the jaguar recently killed another one for no apparent reason.

The jaguar used to be tiny.. but he is growing rapidly and gets more and more evil. Picks on the oscar constantly... and it wouldn't suprise me if it kills it soon.

The thing is... I have always wanted a tank like this if I ever got rich.. big tank with big fish. Now I think it is kind of boring... I prefer smaller cichlids now.

Anyway... i will post some pics up in a second of the tank for ****s and giggles. EDIT: of course right when I make a thread imageshack won't come up...
