I couldn't help; myself " salvini for 10.00. what can anyone tell me about them, is obviousley related to JD'S, how big, mean, and so on should I suspect? I've geard they are pretty mean can I keep him w/ my 6" butti?

The buttikoferi will most likely have its way with the salvini, especially in a small tank.

yes , the salvini was moved to my 150 and is replacing my tinfoils.
anyone near western michigan want 2 tinfoils?

keep an eye on the jag showing aggression to the new salvini once you add it to the tank.

not sure about a Jag getting agresive towards a salvini...more like eyeing it off as a midnight snack...make sure the salvini has plenty of hidy holes.

That is what I was thinking. A 10 inch Jag would view almost anything half its size as food.

What is the size of the salvini in question? If it's anywhere near full grown, I really doubt the jag being only 10" right now will be able to eat it.

The thing to remember about Jags...if it fits in its mouth it WILL eat it.
When my Jag was 10" it ate all of the adult convicts in my tank over the period of a few weeks...the biggest convict was about 6"...the Jag sat with the convicts tail hangin out his mouth for a day or two untill it managed to get the whole thing down.
