75 gallon long (5 feet long x 1.5 feet wide X 16" tall):
1 Albino Oscar (10.5" including tail)
1 Sunshine Pleco L-14 (8-9")
4 Silver Dollars
2-3 Clown Loaches
2 Fluval 404 canisters, 1 Maxi-jet 1200, weekly water changes

Is that too crowded?

Your oscar may possibly beat up on the loach's but it could work out??? Just make sure the loach's are big enough to not be eaten

Concur...did a little research and that set-up would work well, but the loaches pose the biggest potential threat as they may be eaten, and they have the ability to lock those spines prior to the meal...

sounds like it should have a warning label on the bag hehe...."choke hazard"

I think that it does...but that's just for the bag. Messing with Botia or Kuhli loaches can hurt pretty dang bad!

Those spines can sure hurt  . If you get large enough loaches you should be ok. Loaches are pretty quick fish so the oscar would have a problem catching a loach. Just provide a large enough cave for all the loaches, get 5 to 6 inch loaches, and a small oscar. Loaches are slow growers and oscars are quick growers so larger loaches will give them a head start.

oops, just realized you already had the oscar. I still think you will be ok with 6 inch clowns. They are agile and fast. I know several people who have kept oscars and clown loaches together without problems.

Thanks, but after watching my tank tonight I think that I will leave well enough alone and not add the loaches. I also think that my pleco might not like another bottom feeder. He is fairly aggressive. He bullies the silver dollars and the Oscar now. He is quickly becoming bolder since I removed the JD that I had in the tank before.

Thanks so much for all of your replies. Hopefully I won't have anymore compatibility or stocking questions in the future. :)
