Fancy goldfish need a min of 20 for first fish and 10 for ever additional fish. Regular goldfish are 2x the size of fancys. Regular goldfish need 40 for the first fish and 20 for every additional fish.

So if I had 10 regular goldfish I would need a min of 220g pond.

regulars arent 2x the size of normals, they are just more active.

Do you mean regulars aren't 2x the size of fancys?

I'm under the impression that fancys get to about 6-7in and regular goldfish get to about 12in.

actually, I am assuming by "regulars" that you are talking about comets or commons. Comets can get up to about 12-14 inches in the home aquarium and they are speedier than your round bodied fancies which can max at 6-8 inches, sometimes even bigger provided the adequate spacing and maintenance.

Thats what I mean when I said reg.
So do you think what I said in the top post is accurate?
