My tank has been set up for almost 3 years now and is cleaned regularily but the water is never clear. It always has a yellowie tinge to it.
Does any one have any ideas as to how I can stop the water from going yellow? It doesn't look very nice with yellow water and I really want to have nice clear water in it!

Are you using tap water? Any water conditioner? What kind of filtering are you using? How often are you doing water changes?
And what sort of lighting. Obviously incandecent bulbs will give a yellowish hue to the water.
And are there live plants in the tank?

if its something in the water carbon should help clear it up. if its the light bulb switch bulbs if its someone on the glass try to clean it.

Yes there is driftwood but it has ben in there for 3 years nad has been in another tank before that so I don't think it is that.
I used to have a sun glow bulb in there so it did give off a yello colour but when it broke I put in a florescent aquarium bulb which shines a blue colour. Tank glass is clean and clear so I don't think it is that.
There are a few live plants in there, diminishing in numbers though because the Gourami keep on eatin them.
Water change ever 2 weeks, gravel vac once a month. I have a fluval filter but cant remember which one it is. I am wanting to change this though as I don't think it is very good.
It is (I think) 67 Gallons long.
SO what do you think it could be?

Increase those water changes to 20-30% weekly.
Gravel vac at least every other week.
Unless you have a starbright type glass, many glass tank have a slight green tint. That coupled with a blue light...?
Run carbon on top of this to see if you get a change.

The above suggestions will help with the problem, also have you changed the filter media in the canister lately ? drift wood can leech tannis for a long time, Your best options would be to start a regular tank maintenance schedule that has been suggested. and I'll bet it will clear up in a week.........:)
