I have some Bolivian (Blue) rams in a 20 gallon tank. Good H2O parimeters etc. My problem is that on some their stomachs are becoming sunken in, and one even appears to have no stomach area. I feed them mostly Ken's Meat Lovers food, Veggie Spirulina, and occasionally NLS cichlid formula and frozen brine. What am I doing wrong?

do you see them eating ? how long has this been going on for ?

NLS alone would do them nicely

its no harm to post your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate as well :)

Is the Ram in question eating (be sure he isn't just taking the food in his mouth and spitting it out again)? Have you seen it's poop lately? Is it white and stringy? Could be internal parasite.

Frozen bloodworms can do wonders for a fish's appetite, too.

Are they blue or bolivian rams? They're different beasties...with blue rams being much more fragile. If you have bolivians, I'd suspect internal parasites as mentioned above. If you have blues, what exactly are your water parameters and at what temp is your tank kept? Either way, how long have you had these guys and if they're new how long were they at the LFS?

Does your tank also provide caves or plants with hiding spots? Sometimes Rams are very shy and feel stressed when they can't find refuge. Testing your water for Nitrate, Ammonia, etc?
