new fish, bad luck

Of the two rams I got mail order on thursday, one died sunday morning-I'll have to follow up on the warranty. It appeared to have no lower lip, I never did see it eat and its color was pale. The second has been eating and seems comfortable, but last night I spotted fungus on a pectoral fin and began a treatment with jungle tabs. It was swimming around this morning, apparantly unfazed.
I've got my fingers crossed it survives and I have no trouble with the other fish.

could just be bad luck, but you may want to try other fish stores in your area just in case.

shipping is stressful to the fish. anything wrong with them is just going to amplify the problems. good luck.
