free swimming black convict fry

does anyone know how long it takes for convict fry to become free swimming. its been almost 4 days and they still aren't free swimming helphttp://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif

Convicts are the rats of the fish world. 7-10 days is about right if I remember correctly. If you move the fry at that point, the pair will probably spawn again in a few days if fed well.

yea mine took about 7 days. I moved half the fry into a 10-gallon tank so the parents wouldnt spawn for a while.

thanks guys, my fry are now free swimming all around their half of the tank if they wander past that the mom sucks em up and spits em out into a cermic pot
