I have 2 very small Jewel Cichlids and a small Clown Pleco. I want to know what other Cichlids would be good. I am looking for colorful fish and also how many fish I should go with the tanks a 55G. Thanks Much.

Cons, Salvinis, and firemouths come to mind. Some people even keep Kribs with them, without problem.

Those mentioned would be nice, with my red jewels I keep Kribs as well as Keyholes and large Angels. I'm sure Blue Acaras would also be able to stand up to them. Be wary of anything that is small enough for them to fit in their mouths. Although I keep a school of neons with mine and haven't lost one in that last year, it is always a matter of luck!

i have blue acaras and jewels and they seem to get along fine and i have a pair of yellow peascocks as well which keep to them selfes but i want a few more fish in their so any colorful suggestions would be awsome:D
been thinking of putting our jewels with our jack dempseys.......
these jewels used to hold their own against a very large pair of bumblebee cichlids....
do you think they'd be ok???
