there are many things, but i hate when the traffic light turns green and no one moves. I also hate it when people pull out in front of you like they're in a hurry and drive slow once in front of you. and on the freeway, when people can't make up their minds what speed they want to go, you pass them, then they're passing you, then they slow down and you pass them again....so on and so on. I drove a cargo van expediting for two years, i get easily pissed with people on the road.....lol! I could go on, but i won't!

J double R
05-31-2007, 7:26 AM
i get easily worked up by people who are in SUCH a hurry that they have to lay on the horn if i dont jump to a drag-race start off the line.. or people who feel that the speed limit is much too slow for their liking.. (never ran into one whos brakes DIDNT work, yet... :D) people who can't follow simple laws of the road such as gabbing on their gosh darn stinking celphones while driving.. or passing over a double yellow line.. i could have SWORN i had to pass a driving test to get my license.. apparently theyre for sale at walmart now. If i see you going out of your way to break the law, i'll go out of my way to make sure you have the hardest time doing it. :)

im not bitter. i promise. :D

(and tepelus, that wasnt in reply to you... your post just happened to make me think about it. ;))

I think this one is a continuation.....Yes, why do people not know how stop signs work:wall:,and why do people drive on the shoulder during rush hour traffic just to get to their exit ramp....and why do they call it rush hour, well all we are doing is just sitting there....some things the english dictionary will call things that make no sense....red light, green light===I have seen people stop for green lights and go during red lights...dumn, dumn, dumn....And yeah I had to take a driver's driving test, too. And I could have sworn it said "IT IS AGAINST THE LAW IN MN TO DRIVE OVER DOUBLE YELLOW OR WHITE LINES, AND FINES ARE DOUBLED AROUND CONSTRUCTIONS SITES, AS WELL....".....

People really need to learn to drive. About a week ago I was driving along. I did not have a stop sign, but the street thats perpendicular to the one I am on dose. The guy going down that street doesn't stop at the sign and he came so close to hitting my car and he is the one mouthing words.

J double R
05-31-2007, 2:59 PM
my philosophy on that one is, if im alone in my car, let em hit me.. i'm wearing my seatbelt, i'm insured, i hope they are. :) in most states, if you hit another car trying to avoid an accident (even if the accident you avoided wasnt your fault), the subsequent accident IS your fault. thats why i'd rather take a hit, get a new bumper, and teach someone a lesson than swerve, cause a different accident, and be to blame when the original culprit drives off.

but thats only if im the only one driving.. if its my family with me i'll avoid an accident at all costs for obvious reasons. :)

Ah, i'm not bothered, because the same things bother me too. People in such a gosh darn hurry that they almost cause accidents. I usually don't go more than five over the speed limit, but sometimes, I may drive faster if i'm late or something, but not all crazy-like to cause an accident, because I sure don't want to be in one. I think we could all go on and on, but there is nothing we can do but deal with it. ~sigh~

Yes. A little chatter is fine, but customers who feel that you are their personal therapist: profoundly irritating. I also hate soda inhaling teenagers. Partially because they are a lot of trouble, and partially because I feel like after nine sodas or so I owe their kidneys a personal, hand-written letter of apology.

the public really has no idea how much of a pain in the neck they can be. I bartend part time, so I deal mostly with the tipsy public, but I get a lot of people who see no problem with talking to my back while I am speaking to another table. They are seemingly unable to distingiush between when I am unable to hear them (I'm a bit deaf but when you are twelve inches away, I can hear you) and when I am blatantly ignoring them hoping in vain that they will one day learn to wait their turn.

I hate clients who think I have STUPID written on my forehead. They try to manipulate, wheedle and out-right lie - they have a dirty urine test and accuse me of switching urine samples, even though they are standing right there, they are the one who open the cup, the specimen is never out of their sight. I never touch the urine sample - I only dip the stick in it and they are watching the whole time. but when I tell them the test was dirty, they insist that either I switched the sample or my test is wrong.... Yeah right - poppy seeds, again

One client who has broken every rule from smoking in a non-smoking area to stealing told me that she didn't think that they were "major" rules, so why was I writing her up? ...

One client packed to leave today (she didn't leave though) because I told her she would have to get up earlier if she wanted to shower in the morning because everyday she has been blocking one of two bathrooms at wake-up time for 23 women and 5 kids (leaving only one bathroom for that many people to "make morning water" in)... I guess I didn't get the memo that it was all about her

I got yelled at by a potential client (remember I run a homeless shelter and drug rehab) because she thought she would have her own room, not a bunk in a dorm.

Another potential client handed me a partially filled out intake packet, after having read the rules, saying that she didn't realize it would be so structured... (Rehab structured? UH, DUH...)

Need to hear more?

Repeat after me...
:wall: I love my job :wall: I love my job :wall: I love my job
:headbang2: I really do love my job, just not stupid people :headbang2:

I have no complains. Life is good. Traffic is alright. Ain't got too much money in my pockets, but at least they don't weight me down, that's a good thing. I'm about to set up my very first REEF TANK! That's exciting. Ain't married, ain't got no kids, just looking for a girlfriend. Meanwhile, I'm here imagining myself at a far far away island, where the sun shines bright early everyday and the birds melodic singing are the only sounds you'll hear in the morning. Out by the beach I lay in a hammock, tied up to two coconut trees, with a fresh young coconut in hand, drinking from a straw, looking out at the beach, the waves coming and going, the hypnotizing dance of the sea gulls as they hunt the sea for food. Oh yeah....life is good..life is good.:grinyes:

HOW FREEKIN HARD IS IT TO SIGN A PIECE OF PAPER? I filled out an application for a work permit a week an a half ago, the principle just had to see that the guidence counsuler signed it so i am passing all classes. I checked every day till last thursday. They had been sending me in between the main office and guidence office, then they tell me I need 2 have a job to get a work permit. I siad "I do have a job, and I put what it was on the application" they say "well you never finished filling it out" so they hand me a blank form that apparently was mine, just had my name on it in a diff handwriting. and they are like "See, you need to put your place of employment, which you didnt" so i fill it out again, and they say "okay, we will have it to you by tomarrow" So I checked twice yesterday, still hasnt signed it. School is ending thursday, so im thinking monday my last study hall, im just gonna ask them to get me the paper, track the principle down and have him sign it, because its been 2 weeks since i got the job and I still dont have a work permit, this probably isnt making my boss tihnk to highly of me
