UPCOMING CHANGES TO BUY AND SELL FORMAT:
THE CHANGE:
The buy and sell will now be separated into three distinct forums. One for Regular Member Sales, one for wanted and one for commercial vendors. A totally new format is in the works, however, it will take time to implement, so we must come up with a solution in the interim. All existing rules will remain in effect, however, the following rules and regulations will supercede that of applicable rules previously set in place.
NEW INTERIM RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Regular Member Sales:
- Users MUST post multiple fish sales under a single thread heading where possible.
- A price and location MUST be posted, along with whether or not shipping is available, or the item is for local sale only.
- To aid in clarifying the nature of threads, the terms FS (for sale), FT (for trade), WTB (want to buy), etc. MUST precede the subject of the thread.
- Once all listed items are sold, the thread author MUST post that all has been sold, so that the thread can be subsequently closed.
EXAMPLE:
FS: Angelfish - SHIPPING AVAILABLE...
-or-
FS: Angelfish – California LOCAL SALE ONLY...
-or-
WTB: Angelfish BASS – Arizona....
If multiple items are for sale under a single heading, please put a concise description in the subject field.
EXAMPLE:
FS Discus, Angelfish & Guppies - NEW JERSEY LOCAL SALE ONLY...
Commercial Vendors Sales:
- Community sellers must post any of their fish specific ads in their respective forums and not in the Classified Ads Wanted Ads forum.
- To draw attention to the Community Seller forums, vendors will be allowed to post STOCKLISTS AND SPECIALS ONLY in the general buy and sell forum, in which they may provide a direct link to their forum/thread enabling users to have direct access to what is being advertised. This will be limited to a total two threads per week. Stocklists should be dated and specials should have expiration dates posted if applicable.
- Revisions to posted stocklists are to be edited in order to keep them up to date. If a new stocklist is posted, the outdated thread must be closed or deleted.
EXAMPLE:
VENDOR NAME - STOCKLIST - WEEK OF NOVEMBER 12TH....
-or-
VENDOR NAME - SPECIALS FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 12TH....
General:
- Members who are suspected of conducting sales of a commercial nature will have their threads closed/deleted until they contact neoprodigy to have a proper commercial forum set up for them. Threads of such a nature will be left open at the discretion of AC staff, only with prior contact from the member indicating that a forum is in the process of being set up.
- Members must be responsible in finding out where certain species are restricted. Any thread in the buy and sell forums requesting or selling a restricted species will be deleted with no prior contact. AC abides by all current local laws and therefore reserves the right to take such action. Failure to abide by these rules or repeat offense may be subject to penalization through temporary suspension.
