Help! Fiddler Crab Living Accomodations

I broke the rules and bought something before I researched it. I bought 2 Fiddler crabs for my ten gallon. Although they seem happy, I now know that they do need land and thrive in brackish water. I was just wondering if anyone has has developed a way to create an out of water environment in their tanks while still filling it all the way. I am concerned for the little guys and if worse comes to worse I am going to put them in a separate tank.

I had an idea to attach of piece of PVC tube to the side of the tank just above the water line and having some driftwood lean on it so the crabs could crawl up and inside.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

that happened last week. I haven't built one yet, but may do so soon. the concept is valid though, if you're crafty you can make this work.

also, having something that floats on the surface, with a mesh trellis up to it would work too, just make sure not to bake them with your lights... they do like to get near the warm lights...

they will escape, so be careful with what you give them.

I could never keep the **** things in the tank.

They ALWAYS found a way out... idk how and idk why but they alway did.

Most sure you have every little bit TIGHTLY shut or their getting out.

it's funny, I don't lid mine all the time, and 1 crab sits a half inch from the lip and doesn't seem to want out. he just wants to be as high up as he can be. the only time they've escaped was during water changes when their drift wood comes out.
