Tom flowmeter is one made for aquarium use.... same stuff different day.
agreed they are expensive... but this model, nor the tom one, tells you exactly what the flow rate is.
Yeah, the Tom flowmeter only goes to 250gph, but it's usually good for setting up UV's.

Only problem with that flow indicator is it's not ideal for use with the size tubing we use typically..... even adapting it to use, it would actually restrict flow....

Here's one for you. Still a bit pricey, but it has indicators. Aquatic Ecosystems has great products and good service.
