can i cycle a 10 gallon filtered & heated tank with water and or decor from a well maintained 1 yr cycled tank? trying to setup a quariantine tank for new & sick fish. any advice

Do you have a piece of used filter media from your other tank? That should take care of it.

water no but the gravel and filter media will help.

Sure can. I usually run a few extra sponges in all tanks just to set up a QT instantly.

To cycle a tank i usually would get some prawns and put them in a tight. then leave them to rot in the tank.

I think the OP is trying to set up a QT quickly, with no time for a cycle.
