splash guard for diy hood

What do you guys use for a splash guard under your DIY hood if you don’t have glass tops?

i just leave it unprotected. i use a canister filter so not much splashing goes on.

There are plastic sleeves for T8 bulbs and probably for t5 bulbs as well. Plexiglas available from local home improvement stores could be cut to size. I've never used anything though. Didn't really see the need for it.
