great start that's how to do it :)

if I changed one thing it would be to have a plain dark blue or black background. makes the fish sparkle....but, that is just me; it's a great looking set up.

on the back of that back ground there is a blue colour i may think about flipping it over and trying that, thanks for your advice :).

i was thinking about putting 8 mbunas in there,
4 Demasoni's 1(M) 3(F)
4 yellow labs 1(M) 3(F)

do you think that would be ok?

P.S
do you think if i put those fish in that i will have a good chance of them Breeding?

Am i missing the intent of the bag of Prawns?

He has the prawns in the tank for a sorce of ammonia as he is doing a fishless cycle.

Steve.

the prawns rott and help along with the cycle... my dad has done this in my little brothers tank and it worked fine. other people on this site have advised it too. i do this instaed of putting fish in for the cycle...

Only thing about your proposed mix is that the labs are amongst the most placid malawis and the demasoni are amongst the most aggressive - the labs may find it a bit much.

that is brilliant!
