group of schooling fish to this tank? It's a 30 gal with 1 angelfish, a pr blue rams, 3 honey gouramis, 2 baby kribs (can take them out if I need to), 6 cory cats. I would love to add a small group (5-6) of black neons or white clouds... something like that.
By-the-way, I do 25-30% changes 1-2 times a week, depending on my schedule. The tank has been set up for about 4 months; runs at about 78 degrees; ammo 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 5-10. Black sand bottom with many caves/driftwood/plants.
Thanks!

Cut the cories down to 3 and remove the kribs, then I think you could.

Is the "no" answer due to stocking levels, the stock itself or what?
I'm assuming, Nolapete, that by advising me to remove the cories and kribs that you think it's the stocking levels that would be a hinder the additions?
Thanks for the help! :)

i think he means a bit of both really the stocking levels and nthe stock itself but i think if you do what he said they should be ok.

The stocking wouldn't be outrageous leaving them in with the fish you want as neither grows much larger than what they will be when you get them. The kribs, from what I've read, are going to eventually give you problems with your rams.

I was merely using removing half the cories as a means to get your stocking level low enough to justify the addition. Based on your water parameters, I think you're keeping up with your weekly maintenance. You could go with them as is and see how they do and remove the cories as I suggested later. The kribs really need to go regardless of whether the cories do or not.

i wouldnt. kribs can be nasty when they breed, as can rams. plus your angel will get pretty big.

I am removing at least one of the kribs, as i only want to have 1 female, if any. I'm just waiting to see which one (if either is) a female. The kribs are 2 I had left after my adult pair bred (and bred, and bred....). I ended up giving the adults away as I grew tired of having to deal with all the fry, but I'd like to keep one girlie, as I've never had a fish from birth on through it's life, ya know? I can always move her elsewhere though if need be. (I have another 30g with a 3-spot, a few dwarf gouramis, some kuhlis and 6 harlequins, if you think she'd go there ok.)
Thanks for the help!
