Can anyone diagnose my sea star's problem? The end of one leg appears to be injured.

it looks either like a mal-formed regrowth or parasite. personally, i would cut it off and re grow it. but that is just me. do what you feel you have to.

Would you cut off just the tip of the leg, or the whole thing? And, do you use scissors?

just what's deformed,
and make SURE you use food grade stainless steal scissors because it has to be done underwater.
