Here are a couple shots of my angels. You can see in the one picture that one angel's fins are gone and the other one is the way it's suppose to be.
You can click on my signature to see my parameters and maintenance regime.
Also you should know that this happened overnight - they were fine last night!
Are the other angels doing this?:confused:

yeah if happened over night you'd have to suspect the other inhabitants of the tank...bit quick to be fin rot...presumably your water readings are good ?

I can't see your set up when I click your sig btw

well if it was done over night i doubt it was fin rot..... but wot other fish do you have in there they could have been fighting all night.

wow, it's been awhile since I've checked my sig........it no longer displays the info.??!

Anyways, my readings are as follows:

Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 15
pH = 6.6

4 clown loaches
1 pearl gourami
1 rainbow shark
3 bolivian rams
2 cories
1 rubberlip pleco
4 half black veil angels
1 gold severum
1 keyhole

Maintenance regime is 50% water change every 1 or 2 weeks (whatever time will allow)
I have live plants - swords,vals,java fern
Dose liquid ferts once every 2 weeks (that's all I need)
DIY co2

I don't see any pairs forming from what I can tell.........I'm keeping an eye on them.

BTW - they seem to be doing well, still eating, swimming and being as social as ever.

my first guess would be the shark if it was over night.

My first one would be another Angel. They look to be maturing and should be thinking of pairing......

well, they seem fine and still eating, not hiding, etc. etc.
I will keep a closeful eye on them and let you know what's going on.

one possibility, though probably not too likely in the 125. . . . my rubberlip is extremely territorial, and during an emergency when i had to put my black moor goldfish into my pleco tank overnight, the rubberlip pretty much shredded his tail. . . as in 70% of it was missing. something to watch for, however unlikely.

I would venture to say this is some fish aggression..watch the angels closely.
I suspect you may have a dominant and sub male in the tank.

Well, I thought I would update everyone.......it took this long to find the culprit and with 2 dead angels :cry:
Since the days are getting shorter, when I get up for work it's still dark.
I saw what was happening right away. Believe it or not, it's the 2 biggest clown loaches! They hide during the day, come out and play/feed at night. I saw one of them going after and nipping the angels fins off! Should I feed these guys more? Maybe I should leave some zucchinni (sp) overnight?

you could try feeding more but..I suspect it is a habit issue
I would move the angels..or the loaches..
