Looks a lot like a bumblebee (Pseudotropheus crabro).

this is a pix of a plain ole bumblebee cichlid...so its either a hybrid or just a plain ole bb cichlid

I do not think it is a hybrid (but not sure). My LFS has a few that looks just like it. But they not sure what it is either. They have it as "African Cichlid".

assorted africans tanks are generally hybrids...
looks like pseudotropheus crabo (bumblebee cichlid) to me

:iagree: my lfs is terrible it never has the names of the fish they are selling just sais african cichlids..... thats why i go much further to buy my fish. the lfs is the worst fs i have ever seen

deffinatly looks like a bumblebee hybrid. Body looks a little zebraish, not quite like a true BB.

This is not a hybrid at all. Its funny how someone says its a hybrid and everyone else says it too. This is a male Bumblebee. The males tend to be on the darker side and have more black.

Good looking cichlid though how big is it?
