I just got a 125G tank three weeks ago, i transfered my 4" GT and 5"Nicaragua Cichlids over from a 50G. I want to get another fish or two if i could but really dont know what to get. I've been thinkin may be a blackbelt or JD both i've had in the past. what do you guys think.

The Nics are peaceful, yet tough enough to handle any abuse from either and with just one you won't have the breeding aggression. I've never had any aggression problems with my blackbelts nor JDs. I had a 225 with 9 synspilum, 2 bisfasciatum, 3 blackbelts, and 5 nics with no problems at all.

just got back from a LFS with no luck on either fish. they had JDs but they are to small, so i told the guy what my deal was and was like "thats not a good idea to put in a new fish to a established tank" i told him i knew that. i am goin to take out my fish, change the tank around then put them all back together. then he tried to sell me a 14" florida gar that will need a new tank in like 6 months. i really hate the people who work at these stores, "buy our fish now then when they get too big we will take it back for less than what you payed for it".

well i just got a jd and a texas today(ill get some pics up when i get home from work). texas being an impluse buy, if he doesnt work i can put him in my free 50g tank.

wondering if i should get one more cichlid or would that be over doing it though.

So many cichlids come to mind-I wish I was in your situation. Availability of a 4"-5" cichlid may be a problem unless you have a specialty shop close by.
Blackbelts get huge (my male was around 16") but other Veijas like bifascatus, hartwegi, zonatus and argentea may work. You might be able to find a nice Geo surinamsis. Maybe a friedrichstahl, motageuse, or losseli
Check out jeff Rapps site hes got the best of the best NW cichlids

if i read jeffs site right you got to make a purchase of $50 or more to ship to the US and all i want is one more fish even though his fish are very nice.

Right now he has 8" Synspilum for $50 :P and 6.5" Bifasciatum for $40 and a lot of other fish in that range if you just want one fish. H. psittacus are cool :D
