sorry, I should have given more details. the tank will be using eco complete, has a HOB penn-plax cascade 150, hagen co2, and will be densly planted, I hope.
cheap and easy would be the power compact screw in bulbs that can be found at places like walmart or home depot. get 2 of the daylight bulbs over your tank it should look nice.
yeah, that wouldn't be bad... only thing is I don't have a hood, so I'd have to make a hood. I'd rather spend the time and money on a single unit that had around 40 watts of balanced daylight... I'm just finding it hard to find 20" models.
yeah... but I'm always with my hands in there... I like the size and flexibility of the coralife strips I have on my 20 gallon... I'd really like something similar. Looks like Current makes a nice one, but pricey, and a lot of light... I don't know if I want 96 watts!
which looks great, but I don't think I want an actnic bulb (do I?) and replacing it brings me back up to 70 bucks or more with shipping.
what a shame there is an extra plug for the lunar light... I understand why, but they are so low power, they should have made it like a battery back up, so it turns on when the power is cut.
