So, yeah... It's been like... YEARS I hope everybody is still tossing around my cycling and sandbed swap articles.... Aqualink went down a couple years ago... But if anybody here can remember the dynamic duo, Fish Whisperer (Monty) and Smitty.... We will be reuniting in the Gulf area... Wow... Friendships forged here, lasting a lifetime. I'm not sure how many new folks don't know who the hell I am, or have never heard of/from me... But howdy to ya'll. hahaha.... And to any antique, rusty oldtimers that do remember.... HELLO!!!!!! I'm going to check back in a few to see if/who I can remember. I'm glad to see this place is still alive and kicking... and that it's (hopefully) one of the strongest places out here. This was pretty much my "birthplace" of online reefkeeping and I've met some great people along the way. This was over 10 years ago (don't trust the dates, they were re-done in a board makeover years ago). It was around 96 or 97. Dale still around? I will remember folks who post, and I hope many do... I'd like to see who's around. Mike and I were always planning "that huge coral farm....." Hmmmm.... He relocated from California about 6 years ago, and I'll be joining him soon. I did eventually spend most of my time at Aqualink, moderating the skimmerless forum. The old-timers here will remember the "wars" and laugh that there's no debates now! Hey... Enough yapping... I will hopefully be able to check through some posts, see what's going on... and I'd like to post a few more! Hi to everybody, and it's good to see AquariaCentral is sharp as ever... (we had to make our own avatars, eh?)

Monty (Oh, for those that wonder if I'm just some blowhard, I sorta was.... hahaha... I authored the New Tank Cycling article and the Sandbed Swap... and did quite a bit of "research" and stuff... a lot with the longhorn cow, toxicity, breeding, yada yada..... Hi again!

Hi all,

Thanks for the warm welcome back. I'm moving from California to Alabama. A great contributer to AC, (Smitty91) Michael Smith, moved out there a few years back - and I'm looking forward to landing out there. My family and his were the best of friends, and they are still the best of friends I could ever have. When I get a house, my 100G corner I had built will be up and running. I sold off all my systems except for that one, because that was the "dream setup" I planned/executed. We've had some pretty neat ideas and it will be cool to see what we come up with next! :D It will also be real neat to spend a bit more time here and see some of your setups as well. A lot of times we used to talk about meeting some of our favorite members, and a few years back I actually did a cross country trip with my little guy and met a lot of people from Aqualink. I'll be making a few trips between California and Alabama (visiting) so maybe one day I'll meet a few of you folks. Pretty much everybody I visited (in fact, everyone ) was also registered here. But anyway, I'm not just popping in for a once-every-three-year "hello". I'll be busy packing and getting ready for my move, but once I hit the skids it will be neat for me and Mike to participate a bit more here. Anyway, thanks again for the "hellos" and I look forward to seeing more of you!
