Fin rot or aggression from other fish? I'm pretty new to this, and have never seen fin rot. So I'm not sure what caused this. Any help would be appreciated.

What size tank? How many other fish and what kinds?

Water params are good except for nitrite's. I'm in the middle of a nitrite spike atm. My aquarium came with a junk filter. It's mechanical filtration medium is the same as the bio medium. When I replaced the filter medium, I got a spike.

So a couple days ago, when I noticed the spike, I went and got a better filter with a bio wheel. The ammonia is back down to zero now, but I can't seem to get the nitrites down. I'm in the middle of a water change again, so hopefully it'll bring the nitrites down.

Params are:
PH : 8.2
Temp : 80º F
Ammonia : 0 ppm
Nitrites : ~1 ppm
Nitrates : ~ 5 ppm
GH : 12
KH : 11

As for rbishop's (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/member.php?u=35953) post, it's not too overcrowded yet, they are still juveniles. But it's starting to get overcrowded as they are growing. See my other post for what size tank and what fish I have: Anyway to stop one fish from hogging all the food? (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113572)

Oh, and the bumblebee in the pic does get chased quit a bit from the next sized bumblebee. I'm starting to think I have three male bumblebee's. I know the largest bumblebee is male, unless females get egg spots on their anal fin? I'm pretty sure the medium sized bumblebee is male, due to it's coloration. The smallest bumblebee I'm not sure, which is the one in the above picture.

so that's a 30 gallon tank with 3 bumblebees and 2 damasoni ?

keep doing the water change to get the nitrite down to 0 again regardless, but that pic looks to me like a nip, which is not surprising considering the inhabitants of the tank.

Is this a new tank or are you overfeeding?

I think you need a bigger tank and we are looking at aggression.

I think the larger 2 of the bumblebee's will be going to the LFS tomorrow. While I don't think it's too overcrowded yet, it will soon be as they grow.
