The tank is 375 gallon ph is 8.0 temp is 78F. I have about 20 other Peacocks and Haps in the tank. This one decided to stop eating. All it does is swim around with its mouth going up and down/ What's the deal??

Can you get a pix of it...what are the rest of the parameters...maybe you have a female who is brooding at the moment....how long has it been since s/he ate...:)

It could be a female , but I have no other species of this fias in the tank. I don't think Peacocks would breed with this?

Aristochromis christyi is a Hap, so she could have easily bred with one of the other haps ya have....that could be a possibility...try and get a pix...
go to this link and it shows a pix of a lab holding...all female mouthbrooder cichlids look just like this one..
