diatom or brown algae

recently had this lots of brown algae growing on the tank, starting from spots den to patches..

did some research its some sort of diatom..

i have a few nassarius snails, but they can't seem to get it off..

is it necessary to have turbo snails? any other snail/fish/star that will help get rid of it?

now tank parameters are good, lighting 9hrs.. relatively new tank..abt 2 mths..
 
Cerith snails are good diatom eaters but all new tanks go through this cycle ... as your water adjust with water changes the diatoms should go away on thier own ... if you don't want to wait you can buy some Cerith snails ... I have a 55 gallon and I have 10 ceriths, 15 turbos and 10 Nasarius snails not to mention about 20+ hermits, a serpent star and I red star ... Cleaning crews can do you good. Not sure how big your tank is but order a few and see how it goes ... hope this helps.

What cleanup crew do you have in the tank at the moment?

As has been said above, for the most part, its something that all new aquariums go through, and you just have to live though it, it WILL pass eventually..Just keep the reular tank maintenance of water changes and testing up as you go along...

currently i have a stomatelle snail, 5 nasarius snail, and 1 red star..

its a 15G.

its hard to find clean-up crew snails in my country, but i'll try to find.. what clean-up crew do u guys suggest?
 
oh ya, one more thing, is this green coralline? how do i get rid of it..?
