We have a 40gallon tank and is currently housing 2 clowns 1 firefish and a small yellow clown goby i cleaner shrimp and a few snails and crabs.
Was just wondering can i add another fish if so what sort would you recommend?

All parameters are good and the tank is 4 months old.

Personaly, you could say yes, but it would have to be a small fish that you purchase..

A few suggestions would be somewhere along the lines of a jawfish ( depends on how deep your sandbed is though ), Smiths or disco blenny or there are some cardinal fish which are very pretty and can be suitably housed in your tank...

See what other peoples suggestions are as i imagine there should be some good suggestions from members...

Thanks Niko for your ideas.
Will see if anyone else can come up with any suggestions too.

i have 2 clowns, a blue neon goby (tiny!), and a pj cardinal in my 37. i plan on adding a royal gramma to the crew to top things off as far as fish go. so i'd suggest a cardinal or royal gramma (tho w/out having one i can't say much about them, but i do thing they're purdy) i enjoy adding inverts and such quite a bit too, newbies being a feather duster and 2 emerald crabs...

I would recommend a cardinal.
