I've got a 1.5" firemouth and its good friends with the 4" severum in my 3ft tank. the only other tank mates are small bronze cats..and the severum. my firemouth is doing well, it has started to get a yellow belly really yellow, like it was about to breed or somthing. i figure its a female...

*sigh* i miss the days as "Dwarf GOURAMI" i used to post heaps, but now i only need occasional help...a few links to some good sites would be helpful, i'll check out what they say about the firemouth on AquariaCentral as soon as i'm done writing this post.
