Silly Filter Question

I have a 48 x 14 x 20 high tank. I have an Eheim 2213 canister filter and am wondering what the best position for inlet and Outlet (spray bar) to be in the tank.

I know it may be a silly question.

I always placed the intake on one side of my tank and the spray bar just under the surface of the water on the opposite side of the tank.

ti think thats also the best idea. also like to have more then one filter. so maybe a hob in the middle.

Opposite ends for me.

i mounted opposite sides too, but i mounted my spraybar vertically from top to bottom in the corner facing diagonally outward.

Mine is set up like J Double R's.

I have my intake and output right next to each other.

My spraybar is mounted vertically on the back wall pushing water out along the length of the back panel and I have a powerhead catty corner pushing water back along the front pane back to the intake pushing the water in a circular pattern in the tank.

Seems to work great for me.

Just try out different cominations. They're easy enough to move around.
