I have now converted my tank to a planted tank. So far I have successful anubius and microsword. Sorry for the green tent I am just getting the upper hand on the algea bloom, but had to share anyways.

UV Sterilizer

I think that I am finally getting the upper hand on the algae bloom. I added a UV sterilizer to my canister filter's inlet line, and within 2 days I have noticed a difference.

Just a suggestion....if you want the Microsword to spread faster, then plant it in small bunches and not in the big bunch.
