I just got this new overflow box for my sump and I don't know how to get it to pump the water down into the sump? thanks

You do have water pumping up to the display, right? That is how. The water will be moved to the sump as fast as it is moved to the display.
As for getting it working, you need to suck all the air out of the "U" shaped tube, using some airling tubing, wich will create a siphon (wich is the basis of how this device works).
