What's the pickle for... or is that a cucumber?

Need help please!

Can anyone help me am not sure what this is on the catfish's nose it looks like a white head. The fish is not acting any differently active eating etc. Not sure how to treat it if I have to or just leave it alone. The other catfish are fine but not exhibiting this white spot. No other spots whatsoever on the fish affected. I took a pic was the best I could get. See above.:help:

from the pictures it just looks like he ran into something. I didnt look at what is in your tank, but its possible he got in a fight with another fish eating or during the night. Or he might have burned himself on the heater. But to me thats what it looks like and as long as it doesnt affect the fish, i wouldnt be overly concerned. Id watch it to make sure it didnt get worse, and hopefully it isnt a permanent scar

Sorry to see it

Hard to tell from the pics. Plenty of water changes, possibly dose with melafix.

Some of my Cories have had 'whitish' blotches on their heads/bodies before, and its most likely they just ran into something. All of them recovered.

Like rbishop said, do lots of water changes and maybe out some melafix in.

Awww.. i never though of the possible heater accident. I have dosed mine for four days. I see a bit of an improvement. They all seem to act refreshed due to Melafix! Strange!

I have seen this same spot on my female Sterbai in the past. She has always recovered, and I have noticed it happen more around the time she is ready to breed. Not sure if it is coincidence. I never bothered to treat as she had always acted fine otherwise. Haven't seen it in a while, but she has been with me for a couple years and am currently raising her fry. So all is well! Don't stress, I have read other places of peope seeing this in their catfish as well.:)
