I have a question. There is a beautiful 4 inch + pair at my lfs for the laughable sum of $2.99 a fish. Would these do well in a 50
gallon outdoor tub with daily water changes and plenty of hiding ?
Would they do well for a while in a 55 gallon?
Thank you

I was just about to get off but I thought I'd answer this one real quick lol, yes your jack will be totally fine in both. Just make sure he/she has a flower pot :) Mine loves them. The 50 gallon tub does have filtration right?? and if its the only thing in there it will do fine in the 55.

Either one will work. Just make sure the temperature of the outdoor tub is within the limits for that fish. You can use a big sponge filter driven by an air pump for filtration.

yes both will be fine but for the best results keep them as the only fish in the tank/tub.
thats a good deal $3 a fish, who has ever seen a breeding pair in an LFS for $6! just hope that they actually breed.

But not 4"+ ones usually...those are about three or four a piece. That ain't a bad deal.
