poll: regular vs. low iron glass

what kind of glass does your tank have, and which do you like better?

I dont have any glass tanks, but if I were to buy one, it would DEFINITELY be low-iron. It just looks 20x better.

Now for me the question is acrylic clearer than low-iron glass?

yeah, glasscages.com is where I first saw low iron glass mentioned. they sure need a new web designer... their code is a mess.

you know, it either changed since the last time I looked or I confused it with another site about tanks... but I take it back, their site looks fine.

meh, I personally liked their older website better. Im not too fond of the new colors either.

On the matter of my previous question, does anyone see a differnce in clarity between low-iron glass and acrylic?

I think glass has better clarity.

acrylic has nice clarity until the first time you wipe it with a paper towel.

So far, I've just been purchasing the aquariums I need at the best price I can find. So, it's all been the normal green glass. If (when ;) ) I get the large display tank I want, I'll use the best glass I can find. It will most likely be a DIY to fit in a custom corner in our newly finished basement.

Also, I think the idea of a 'coffe table aquarium' is awsome. Not practical for me (two small kids), but would still be a great focal point.
