parrot is 6 years old and i believe to be a male due to the long flowing dorsal fins. the jd has blunt fins but i heard that electrics are almost always male.

the parrot isnt going anywhere and they seem to both get along great despite the jd being small. will they be ok if they both turn out to be males?

its now just them 2 in the 40 breeder (36 x 18) with a spotted raphael. i relocated the other fish

yea my camera is cheap. the js id fast, and my hands arent steady.

I can't tell on the JD....nice parrot though.

JD's are easy to sex. Females will have a lot of blue/green on the gill platlets and the male will basically have none.

here is a pic of my male and female so you can see what im talking about.
The female is the first pic and the male is the second pic.

i dont want them to breed i just hope they are opposite sexes so they get along.
