One 180 gallon Mbuna tank.
Filtration: 2 Eheim 2328 approx. 160 g p/h
2 Askol 402 powerheads 200 g p/h each

Inhabitants:
2 male Labidochromis caeruleus + 4 females
1 male Lethrinops lethrinus + 2 females
1 male Pseudotropheus estherae + 2 females
1 male Aulonocara Lwanda + 2 females
1 male Protomelas taeniolatus +1 female
1 male Copadichromis borleyi Mara Rocks + 2 females


Water-change: Approx. 70% every 4/5 days
Water conditions: pH=8.2/8.4 kH=6 gH=9
Straight from the tap, I only add some water conditioner which
neutralizes chlorine, chloramine and binds heavy metals.
NH3 <0.2 NO2 <0.2 NO3 prior to waterchange 26 mg/liter
PO4 prior to waterchange <0.5 mg/liter

Hi, jimmy

my african cichlids tank is new any suggestion for as what kind of rock to used and where you think is the best place to find these rock for aquarium. i'm live in new york.
my tank is 55 gallon
filter 70 gallon aqau clear
heater 200 watts
light 2/standard floracent light
i have 10 fish in my tank
1 blue peacock
2 electric yellow
1 albino peacock
1 orange blossom
1 red peacock
1 red zebra
the other three are new.

lilmama if you're anywhere around the city go to coney island, all the way to the end of surf ave, you'll find a crapload of free rock by the seagate gates closer to the beach, that's where I got all of my granite.
