I have two false percs. I bought both of them at the same time one is a little bigger than the other one and it looks like they are fighting. Could they be breeding? If they are fighting do I need to separate them? Thanks.
If they are just chasing, and "nipping" with no real damage then you will probably have some babies soon, if they are hurting eachother then it's time to seperate them.
They are just nipping and chasing no damage. They have also turned their bodies... humm but I didn't realize they would nip at each other during breeding. I guess I better study up on the baby part. Thanks for the info.
they probably arent going to breed soon. now, they are just establishing dominence. it could take a little while for them to be able to breedm, if at all.
My clownfish AREn doing the same thing. The larger one will nip at the smaller one, but the smaller one doesn't get hurt. At night they stick to my powerhead. They keep dancing around it. They swim with their body side ways and play an odd tag game.
