Unfortunately, my african peacock has been diagnosed with an anchor worm. I have got useful responses for my post on how to treat it and was also told that many parasites come into the tank with new plants. I did add new plants like an idiot without any precautions. How do i avoid the same in future and quarantine plants properly. thanks guys, this site run by all of you is a blessing. Take care.

you can do a qt just like any fish. also 10 to 1 bleach dip could help also.

I would go with 19-1 rather than 10-1.

I've also heard using Alum
many of the parasites won't live long without a host.

Bleach may work, but bleach is pretty nasty stuff and I personally wouldn't want to expose or risk exposing my fish or plants to it if possible. And if you do, use dechlor afterward.
This link has a section that tells you most of the same info as the fine folks here gave, with the addition of Potassium Permanganate, which I have recently started to use.
