This topic comes from south Florida. I spent last week down in the Keys and noticed several iguanas running around the area - even on the property where we stayed. I've got a few pics of them to post later.

Here's the article:

"In addition, the green iguanas leave droppings that could carry salmonella bacteria and if someone gets too close to one, it could snap or bite."

Better watch out for that bitey poo....

For those like me that live in miami...you would be amazed how many times ive had to break to wait for one of those things to cross the road. as a matter of fact, i was stating the other day that in almost any area with or near a canal you can see on any day around 20 of them sunning themselves every mile or so. I always joke with customers cause they come to the store for the first time and see from the parking lot which is infront of a canal, to not worry about them sitting in the parking lot. I also tell them and pint out the 5ft gator that lives infront of my store...and tell em those...worry about and if u here hissing coming from the bottom of your car , its not the tire going flat....

Oh well...they will make a good food source for the Burmese pythons and water monitors (who are both breeding like rabbits in South Florida).
